CALM DOWN NO SPOILER ALERT HERE.

CALM DOWN, NO SPOILER ALERT HERE. People usually associate their feelings with movies and TV series. I often hear from my friends about watching La La Land when they are happy and Bir Küçük Eylül Meselesi when they are sad. I didn’t understand how people can connect their feelings to a TV show or movie and watch the same thing again and again while I am unaware out there, silent until I met Fleabag. Now, I am sure that my miserable mood TV series is Fleabag. I am now a member of a group that associates their mood with movies/TV series.

So Why?

The answer is clear: the protagonist’s life is more miserable than mine and is going to be. I am sure that people like to watch someone worse than they are. Also, I am sure that I am not the only one who feels that way.

She is an ordinary British woman trying to cope with heartbreaks, losses, disappointments, failures, unhappiness, mistakes, and her problematic family relations — namely life.

Not always, but mostly life is hard. Sometimes we are hurt by our family. Sometimes we make mistakes. We act unconsciously. Fundamentally, we are all trying to combat all obstacles and live our dreams. But sometimes, it is impossible to fight, and we have to endure our fate.

Fleabag reminds me that we can fall, but we have to fight. Eventually, the darkness will meet the lightness, although Fleabag could not reach what she wanted.

The scenario is riveting, and the actors are very professional. They make it hard to stop watching once you start.

The British tragicomedy television series is created and written by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. It consists of 2 seasons with a total of 12 episodes and is produced by Prime Video in association with BBC.

It was originally produced by Two Brothers Pictures for the digital channel BBC Three in a co-production agreement with Amazon Studios. Sian Clifford also stars, while Andrew Scott joined the cast in the second series. The protagonist frequently breaks the fourth wall to provide exposition, internal monologues, and a running commentary to the audience.

I have not discovered my happy mood movie or TV series; however, I am sure that I will watch Fleabag over and over when I am upset.

PS: It is going to be my third watch in a row.
